Rose A. (Hart) Kunkle

Rose Kunkle Obituary

Rose A. Kunkle, 70, of Galveston, went home to be with her Lord, Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Brickyard in Kokomo.  She was born September 19, 1955, in Kokomo to Leslie and Carol (Farley) Hart.   She married Roger L. Kunkle on April 8, 1978, at Onward Christian Church and he survives.

Rose was a homemaker but played many roles during her lifetime.  She could do just about anything.   She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing and was a true animal lover and would nurse back to health any creature that came across her doorstep.  She also loved her frozen cokes.  Rose was a member of Onward Christian Church and enjoyed helping with meals for both the church and the Onward Vol. Fire Dept.

Surviving family include her husband Roger, her children, Ryan (Kerstyn) Kunkle of Galveston and Jennifer (Brett) McCarter of Peru.   She is also memaw to Jackson, Charlee and Christopher and sister to John (Trela) Hart.  Rose is also survived by several nieces and nephews and special friends Mike and Carrie Munson and Morgan Harness.  She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Nancy Hyman, Mark Hart, and Linda Miller.

Visitation will be held at Onward Christian Church on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Onward Christian Church with Pastor Dale Holzbauer officiating.  Burial will follow in Onward’s Deer Creek Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be given to Onward Christian Church or the Cass County Humane Society.   Murray Weaver Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
