Ruby D. (Burnette) Wolfenbarger

Ruby D. Wolfenbarger, 92, of Kokomo, passed away Sunday evening, August 7, 2022, at her home.  She was born November 9, 1929, in Sharps Chapel, TN to Willis and Sylvia (Wolfenbarger) Burnette.   She married Glen T. Wolfenbarger on May 10, 1947, and he preceded her in death July 9, 1974.

Ruby retired from Delco Electronics in 1983 with several years’ service in the repair department.   She was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Galveston First Baptist Church, and the Red Hat Society.   She enjoyed playing euchre and knitting.

Surviving family include her daughter, Glenda (Phil) Bostic of Kokomo and daughter-in-law, Pat Wolfenbarger of Galveston.  Surviving grandchildren are, Jeff (Natalie) Bostic, Kim (Jeff) Catt, Kevin (Angie) Bostic, Dawn (Roberta) Miller, Jennifer (Billy) Walker, and Angie (Jerry) Alexander.   She is also survived by great grandchildren, Eric and wife Monique, Jamie, Jessie and husband Brandon, Jeffery “J.J.”, Zachery and wife Yuri, Jeremy and wife Marina, Anthony and wife Sydney, Kendall, Conner, Robert, Samantha and husband Jared.  She is also survived by several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and siblings, Louise Oaks, Denny Burnette, and Carl Burnette.    She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, son, Charles “Eddie” Wolfenbarger, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and a great grandson Jacob Todd Catt.  

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 13th from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m.   Eastern Star services will be held at 3:30 prior to the funeral at 4:00 p.m.    Pastor Sean Cooper will officiate funeral services and burial will take place at Galveston Cemetery immediately following.
