Sharon K. (Snyder) McKibben

Sharon K. McKibben, 70, of Kokomo, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday, August 8, 2024, from her home.  She was born July 19, 1954, in Kokomo to Jack E. and Betty A. (Blackburn) Snyder.   She married Jim McKibben on June 25, 1988, in Miami, Indiana and he preceded her in death in May of 2012.  

Sharon was a 1973 graduate of Maconaquah High School in Bunker Hill.  During her working years, she worked at Speedway, Wassons Department Store, Red Barn and B.J.’s Fashion.  She was a member of Bennetts Switch Community Church and taught Sunday school for many years.  She enjoyed all kinds of crafts and spending time with her cats.

Surviving family include her mother, Betty Snyder of Kokomo; brother, Norm (Kathy) Snyder of Kokomo; and sister, Joyce (Darrell) Colburn of Miami.  She is also survived by brother-in-law, Larry McKibben of Bloomington, IN, and David McKibben of Kokomo.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Jeremy (Andrea) Snyder, Mat (Valerie) Snyder, Kelly (Mark) Walton, Jennifer Hain, Jami (Jake) Warren, Jessica (Vince) Vlazney,  Tony (Christina) McKibben, and Davina, Kaya,  and Anissa McKibben. She is also survived by 11 great nieces and nephews and her beloved cats, especially Tigger.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 3 – 5 p.m. at Bennetts Switch Community Church 2261 Indiana Hwy 18, Kokomo, IN 46901.   Funeral time will follow at 5:00 p.m. with brother Norm Snyder officiating.
