Stanley E. Hannah, 85, of Galveston, went home to be with the Lord at 5:05 am Monday, November 7, 2022, from his home. He was born December 16, 1936, in Goldsmith, Indiana to Berl and June (Alexander) Hannah. On October 14, 1962, he married Kathy Lynn Wright, and she survives.
Stanley served his country in the United States Army. After he returned from the Army, he went to work for Chrysler and later retired in 1999 with 43 years’ service. He enjoyed farming and raising white tail deer, gardening, and watching old western’s on T.V. Stanley and Kathy were members of Judson Road Christian Church for many years.
Surviving family include his wife Kathy of 60 years, his children, Jennifer and husband Johnie Wireman of Sullivan, IN; Bradley Hannah of Kokomo; and Stephen Hannah of Galveston. Surviving grandchildren include Amber (Matt) Miller, Alyssa Crites and fiancée Jason Trotter, Tyler Blackburn and girlfriend Megan Hohenberger, Cameron Hannah and Zachary Wireman. He is also survived by two great grandson’s Wyatt and Weston Miller and one sister, Judith Reel of Kokomo. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rebecca Floyd.
Visitation will take place from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. Funeral services will follow immediately at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in the Galveston Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Compassus Hospice for their care of Stanley during his illness.
