Wade “Junior” Riley, 78, of Greentown, formerly Miami County, passed away at 5:58 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at Century Villa Health and Rehab Center in Greentown. He was born July 14, 1943, to Wade S. and Ruth (Amos) Riley.
Junior was born and raised on a farm in south Miami County Indiana. He helped raise chickens on the farm and had his own Egg business for several years. With declining health, he moved to Century Fields assisted living in Greentown, then later Century Villa. He met many new friends and enjoyed the activities there, especially Bingo.
Surviving family include his stepbrother, Richard (Karen) Weaver and step sister-in-law, Luan Weaver and their families. Junior was also survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Ruth Riley, his stepmother, Thelma (Weaver) Riley and step brother, Terrell Weaver and aunts and uncles.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff Century Fields and Century Villa for their kindness, love and caring of Junior the many years he spent there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Guardian Angel Hospice in his honor.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Paul Nicholson officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Galveston Cemetery. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
