William H. “Bill” Faulkner Jr., 62, of Russiaville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. He was born September 9, 1962, in Kokomo to William H. & Waneda (Whittaker) Faulkner. He married Truletta “Trudy” Rains on December 25, 1989, in Kokomo and she survives.
Bill was a jack of all trades but spent most of his career as a roofer. He was a huge family man and would do anything to help his kids and grandkids. He never met a stranger and loved to share stories with anyone who would listen. He was a great mechanic and enjoyed helping his friends and family fixing their cars. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and throwing darts.
He is survived by his wife Trudy Faulkner of Russiaville, his children, Chris (Ashlee) Bryant of Kokomo; Jason (Kira) Faulkner, of Kokomo; Joyce Faulkner of Louisville, KY; John (Liz) Faulkner, of Kokomo; Monte Faulkner of Kokomo, and Robert (Ashley) Faulkner of Kokomo. Surviving grandchildren include Branden, Krystal, Gabrielle, Arieonna, Addison, James, Zackery, Xavier, Avery, Karley, Lillian, Autumn, Kaseyn and Kamdyn. He is also survived by one brother, John W. Faulkner of Delphi, and two sisters, Voneda (Tim) McClay, Kokomo; and Barbara (Simon) Rhea of Alaska. Bill has several aunts, uncles and cousins that also mourn his passing. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation in Indiana will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2025, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston and visitation in Williamsburg, Kentucky will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Maple Creek United Baptist Church from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Friday January 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Curtis Vanover officiating. Bill will be laid to rest in Maple Creek Cemetery.
