Diana Lynn (Crockett) Blount, 59, of Kokomo, passed away at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, October 19th surrounded by her loving family.    She was born April 14, 1957 in Kokomo to Robert E. and L. Maxine (Johns) Crockett.    She married Jeff W. Blount on May 27, 2016 and he survives.

Diana was a pharmacy technician for CVS in Peru and Kokomo for the past 8 years.   She enjoyed trips to Daytona Beach, Florida, spending time with her grandchildren and shopping.

Surviving family include her husband Jeff Blount, Kokomo; children, Christina L. (Pete) Thatcher, Kokomo; Elizabeth (Chuck) Humbarger, Peru; Melissa L. Smith, Peru, Ryan Blount, Nashville, TN; and Stephanie Blount, Kokomo.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Devin, Trey, Zach, Brody, Madison and Hayden; her sisters, Karen (Gary) Huskey, LaPorte, IN; Jeanne Scott and husband Jim Parsons, Galveston; and Janet Elson, Kokomo.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Diana’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Rev. Bill Collins officiating.   Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Contributions may be given to a charity of donors choice in memory of Diana.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston are in charge of arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
