Thoughts & prayers to Scott & the grandsons (whom I heard good about, but never met)--I stopped by Harriet's house last year after she had moved & had I know she was in a home, I'd have stopped. Jack was my dad's college roommate, best man, etc. We visited the family in Calif. & also when they moved back to IN. I lost touch, then a few years ago found them & was able to stop & visit a couple times. Harriet was a gracious woman. I was priviledged to have known her

We first met Harriet when she was one of Helen's tablemates in the rehab unit at Waterford Place Health Campus a few years back. We always enjoyed her presence. Later, both Harriet and Helen were residents in the long term care wing of Waterford Place. Although not tablemates again, we always greeted Harriet in the dining room, when we could. In the past few months, if Helen's dining table was filled and Harriet happened to be sitting alone, I would ask Harriet if I could join her as we ate. She was always interested in where I had been in my travels, and where I planned to be going next. We spoke of the various places in the United States where she had lived with her family before returning to her home town of Galveston. When the great-grandchildren came to visit Helen, we would always try to take time for a brief stop to connect with Harriet and she seemed to be glad to see the youngsters. Harriet's sweet and quiet presence at Waterford is already missed. But we will remember our friendship with her with gratitude. The extended Hollingsworth family sends our sympathy to the Coffey family members. May your memories of Harriet be cherished and lasting.
