Harrison “Bub” Owen, 61, of Walton, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at St.Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  He was born November 9, 1955 to Harrison E. and Reina M. (Name) Owen.  He married Teresa Fisher October 15, 1977 in Galveston and she survives.

Bub worked in Maintenance for Armour Eckrich in Peru for several years he also farmed and worked construction.  He was a member of the Young America Vol. Fire Dept, the Galveston American Legion and the Cass Co. Coon Hunters.   Bub enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, his horses and was a practical joker.

Surviving family include his wife Teresa Owen, Walton; daughter, Tracey (David) Bogue, Galveston; and granddaughter Brooke Bronson and boyfriend Kyle of Kokomo.   Bub is also survived by his sister, Edith “Sis” Lock of Kokomo and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a half brother Billy Name.

A celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 30th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Chaplin Richard Olson officiating.  Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of donors choice.  The family wishes to express a special “Thank You” to all at Great Lakes Caring Hospice for the “above and beyond care” they provided to the family.   You may light a candle or leave a condolence to Bub’s family at www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
