Perry Charles Wecht, 35, of Galveston, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, November 26th at his home in Galveston. He was born January 12, 1981 in Kokomo to Charles and Linda (Young) Wecht. He married Randi Ridenour on May 17, 2006 in Logansport and she survives.
Perry was employed by General Motors as a pipefitter for the past 10 years. Prior to GM he worked for Superior Enterprises of Ft. Wayne and Millwright Riggers Inc. in Marion. He was a graduate of Lewis Cass High School. He enjoyed traditional archery, hunting and fishing, coaching his boys in sports and was a big time Bears fan. He loved the outdoors.
Surviving family include his wife, Randi Wecht, Galveston; children, Garrett, Charles and Caroline Wecht all at home; his mother, Linda Wecht, Galveston and sister, Jennifer Allison, Kokomo. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Wecht and grandparents, Rose and Marv Brannum.
A celebration of Perry’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Onward Christian Church, 21 Oak Street, Onward, IN with Pastors Rod Mason and Lynn Brust officiating. A time of visiting with family and friends will take place from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services Thursday at the Church. The family requests that you come dressed in casual attire. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Perry Wecht Memorial Fund.
