Geneva K (Agness) Willson

April 14, 1916 ~ December 17, 2016 (age 100) 100 Years Old

Geneva K. Willson, 100, of Bunker Hill, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord at 10:55 p.m. Saturday, December 17th at Waterford Place Health Campus in Kokomo.  She was born April 14, 1916 in Miami County to Earl R. and Hazel S. (Pense) Agness.  She married Lawrence Willson on March 22, 1936 in Miami County.  He preceded her in death May 19, 1999. 

Geneva was a graduate of Clay Twp. High School in Miami County.  She was also a member of the Bennetts Switch United Methodist Church, where she served in many capacities.  Member of the Miami County Farm Bureau and the 7:30 card club.  Her greatest love was being a farm wife to Lawrence for 63 years.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, writing poetry and being church organist for 25 years.  In her earlier years, she worked for Reliance Manufacturing in Kokomo and the Orestes Canning Factory in Galveston.    Geneva and Lawrence wintered in Bradenton, Florida where she thoroughly enjoyed playing shuffleboard and won several trophies.  She was blessed with a full and happy life and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving family include her son, Edward and Joyce Willson, Galveston, IN and their children, Beth and Steve Price, Carmel, IN; Donald and Patty Willson, Bunker Hill, IN; Sarah and Daryl Dexter, Union City, MI; Allen and Jami Willson, Bunker Hill, IN.  Her daughter, Waneta and Carl Johnson, Kokomo, IN and their children, Brad and Wendy Johnson, Galveston, IN; Lynda and Mark Chapman, Noblesville, IN; A son-in-law, Dick Fawcett, Stuart, FL and his children, David Fawcett, Stuart, FL and Kent and Danielle Fawcett, Canton, GA.  Also surviving are 23 great grandchildren and one brother, Eugene Agness of Bradenton, FL.   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, daughter Anna Jane Fawcett, granddaughter, Cheryl Johnson and three sisters, Buelah Harts, Ruthanna Borden and Carolyn Einselen, four brothers, Mark, Herman, Thurman and Richard Agness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, December 22nd at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Rev. Norm Snyder and Rev. Daryl Dexter officiating.  Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. Thursday until the time of services at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
